Puppies are coming soon!

Our 2021 planned litters are completely spoken for.

Please see the "Puppy Process" section below for information on getting on our wait list.

Most families added to our waiting list wait an average of 9-12 months for their puppy.

Our puppies are $3,500, which includes tax, AKC registration paperwork (limited),

microchipping with lifetime enrollment in AKC Reunite, first vet visit/shots, and more

(outlined below). All of our puppies parents have OFA and genetic clearances as required

by the Golden Retriever Club of America.

If you would like to be considered for our waiting list, please complete our Puppy Application. If you are selected to receive one of our puppies, a $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your position on our list.

While we cannot guarantee when your puppy selection will take place, your approved application and deposit reserves your opportunity to select your puppy based on your list position. (For example, if 9th on our waiting list and we only had 8 puppies in our next litter, you would be bumped to the following litter.)

Be sure to follow along on the puppy blog for updates and photos of the puppies as they grow AND keep up with our plans for future litters

A $500 deposit is required to hold a puppy ($100 non-refundable to be added to wait list,

$400 due when pups are born. The $400 is refundable until puppies are 3 weeks old,

non-refundable after that point). As a general rule, puppies will be selected in the order in

which deposits are received.

Our exceptions to this rule are simple. First, we always reserve right of first puppy for our

family. This does not mean we will always keep first puppy, but that we do keep that as an

option. Additionally, if show puppies are available, these puppies will be placed prior to pet

puppy homes selection.

Pet puppy selection generally takes place between 6-7 weeks of age. Our puppies are ready

for their forever homes at 8 weeks of age.

Puppy Process

What is the total cost of a puppy?

The cost of one of our pet puppies (AKC Limited Registration) is $3,500 ($500 deposit + $3,000 at pickup or delivery). The City of Las Vegas revised its hobby breeder laws in 2019, and we are now required to charge 8.38% sales tax. The sales tax (roughly $270), as well as microchipping and lifetime enrollment in AKC Reunite, is included in the purchase price of your puppy.

Do you offer a health guarantee?

Yes! Your puppy also comes with a 2 year health guarantee (read here), first set of shots, vet check and health letter, will be dewormed, and AKC limited registration paperwork. You will also receive copies of both parents pedigrees and OFA and genetic clearances,

Can I meet you, your dogs, or puppies?

Yes! However, we only allow visitors by appointment. Only those who are on our waiting list are invited to help with puppy socialization (we will contact you with times and opportunities). Anyone not on our wait list is welcome to meet us and our dogs outside of puppy visits. Please contact us to schedule a time.

Can you deliver my puppy?

Yes! If you are not able to pick up your puppy due to the distance, we can personally deliver your puppy to you anywhere that Southwest Airlines flies. This service is currently offered on a gratuitous basis, however, you would be responsible for the cost of our roundtrip plane ticket, plus the $95 Southwest pet fee. We have found Southwest to be the most accommodating to bringing puppies into the cabin, and will not ship our dogs in baggage due to the potential trauma and health risks involved.

Alternatively, if you are less than 200 miles away, we can drive your puppy to you for a nominal fee. Please contact us for additional information.

Do you have an older dog available for adoption?

We do not offer older puppies or any of our dogs displayed on this page for sale, as they are first and foremost our pets and members of our family. If you are looking for an older or trained golden, we recommend Shadalane Golden Retrievers in Vista, California.

Also, please understand that we are not a rescue. If you are interested in rescuing a golden, please visit the Golden Retriever Rescue of Southern Nevada

How long do I have to wait for my puppy?

Our waiting list fills very quickly! Many of our families wait 6-15 months for their furever friend. This time frame fluctuates depending on how many litters we have each year, and how many puppies are born in those litters. If you need a puppy *now,* we are probably not a right fit for you.

Can I get full AKC registration for my puppy?

While we offer full registration on a very select basis to show homes (generally only under a co-ownership agreement, requiring a separate contract with commitment to show your dog at least twice yearly, completion of all OFA and genetic clearances, references, and an additional fee), please note unless otherwise agreed upon in our contract, our puppies are sold as pets on a spay/neuter contract with "limited registration" from the AKC.

This means your puppy can be registered with the AKC and would be able to compete in most AKC events including Obedience, Agility, Rally, Dock Diving, Hunting trials, etc. However, your puppy is not to be used for breeding and any litters they produced in violation of our contract would not be AKC registerable.

What health testing do my puppy's parents have?

Great question! All of our puppy parents have OFA clearances on their hips, elbows, eyes, and hearts. You can find the links to their test results on their individual pages. Our breeding bitches and the sires we own also do genetic testing for Degenerative Myelopathy, Ichthyosis (Golden Retriever Type), Golden Retriever 1, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Golden Retriever 2, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, Progressive Rod-Cone Degeneration and/or Neuronal Ceroid Lipofuscinosis 5 (Golden Retriever Type), Progressive Retinal Atrophy. You can view the results of our testing from Paw Print Genetics via the links in our dogs individual profile pages

Do I get to pick my puppy or do you pick for me?

Puppies are selected in the order in which deposits are received (which directly corresponds to your waiting list position). The exceptions to this rule are 1) if our family or our stud owner are opting to keep first puppy, and 2) if any puppies are being placed in show homes.

Leading up to puppy selection day, we will provide you with information on each of the puppy's personalities in the litter, what shade of gold we anticipate they will grow up to be, etc., and happily assist you in choosing the best puppy for you and your family based on your desired characteristics. At the end of the day however, you pick your puppy. We do not assign puppies to families. The choice is yours!

What payment methods do you accept?

Please DO NOT send any payments until AFTER your application has been approved. If we receive a deposit without an application, it will be rejected or refused and returned to you, which will delay your addition to our waiting list.

We accept payments via GoodDog, Zelle, cash, and personal or cashier's check. (Personal checks require a copy of your driver's license and cash will be run through a scanner. Please don't take offense - scammers are out there!) GoodDog offers a secure, online payment portal and your payment is 100% guaranteed. They charge a minimal fee to utilize their payment service. Zelle is a free, bank-to-bank direct payment service, similar to Venmo or Paypal.

If you prefer to pay for your puppy via installments rather than in a lump sum, we can work with you! That said, your puppy must be completely paid off prior to being picked up at 8 weeks old.

I have a question that isn't answered here!

Please contact us with any questions you may have that are not answered here! We will do our best to respond within 2 business days. Around holidays, when we have a litter of newborn pups, and when we are out showing, it sometimes takes us 3-5 days to respond. We appreciate your patience!

1. Application

Complete your puppy application. We will review your application within 5 business days and if your application is approved, you will be invited to place your deposit. Most families will wait an average of 9-12 months for their puppy.

2. Deposit

$100 of your $500 deposit is non-refundable, and required up front to be added to our waitlist. Payments can be made via GoodDog, Zelle, or check. Please DO NOT send payment prior to your application being approved or it will be returned to you! The remaining $400 of your deposit is due one week after your puppy is born.

3. Pupdates

Once your application has been approved and your deposit has been received, you will be added to our email list for "pupdates" on anticipated breedings and upcoming litters. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube for even more updates!

4. Pups Arrival

The remainder of your deposit ($400) is due within one week of your puppy's birth. Once that is received, you will be given access to our 'Puppy Cam" for regular viewing of your pup's growth and development for eight weeks.

5. Socialization

Your puppy will be regularly handled by both children and adults of all ages. They will be exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, toys and stimulation to help them grow into confident adults. Our puppies socialize with our older dogs each day, and weather permitting, will be exposed to water and swimming.

6. Puppy Selection

There will generally be two opportunities for you to interact in-person with your puppy's litter. The second visit, around 6-7 weeks, will be your opportunity to select your puppy.  If you are unable to attend our in-person socialization days, we can arrange a Facebook or Zoom call for you to meet your puppy!

7. Furever Home

Your puppy will be ready to go home at 8 weeks of age. They will be sent home with their first set of shots, vet health check/letter, microchip, lifetime AKC Reunite enrollment, blanket with mom & litter scent, starter food bag, collar, and a binder which includes copies of parents clearances and pedigrees, and information on raising your puppy.

8. Family

Our pups come with more than just a 2 year health guarantee and seller's contract. When you take home one of our puppies, you become part of the Liberty Golden Retrievers family. We are always available to answer any questions you may have and would love to interact with your pup as it grows up; we hope you'll send us lots of pictures, too!
